VarioConnect was designed as a device for both Braille input and Braille-output and for use in combination with a wide variety of computer laptops and mobile communication devices.

Whether you require a mobile Braille display for your notebook computer, mobile phone, PDA, or you work with mainstream computer applications even read and write SMS-messages with your Smartphone... VarioConnect can accommodate multiple needs in various environments. VarioConnect will display your most sensitive information discretely on it's refreshable Braille display. Switch off all audible feedback and speech  synthesis from your communication device or laptop and use it quietly in a library or during a meeting; your sighted colleagues will not notice you accessing the same information as them.

The powerful rechargeable battery enables you to use VarioConnect in Bluetooth-mode for more than 30 hours without interruption. When connected through USB to your computer you can select the power source: VarioConnect's internal battery or the laptop battery. After only 4 hours of charging using the external supply unit, VarioConnect is ready to be used. VarioConnect will easily fit inside most pockets and can accompany you wherever you might want to go, regardless whether you choose VarioConnect in  12-cell, 24-cell, 32-cell or 40-cell length.

Once again, BAUM Retec has reached another milestone in setting the highest standard in Braille product development. VarioConnect is truly the smallest and lightest Braille display in the world! Yet they do offer a number of advantages when compared to similar products.

VarioConnect 12: 12 Braille cells - 6-dot Braille keyboard, fits your shirt pocket;
VarioConnect 24: 24 Braille cells - 8-dot Braille keyboard, fits your pocket;
VarioConnect 32: 32 Braille cells - 8-dot Braille keyboard, fits sub-notebooks;
VarioConnect 40: 40 Braille cells - 8-dot Braille keyboard, fits notebooks, Reading Machines, regular PC's, etc.

Three keys on each side of the Braille display - designed for various functions and optimal use in different screen reader softwares;

Left and right two space keys;
Four (4) System keys totally left and totally right.

Drivers for COBRA, VIRGO4, BLINDOWS and other screen readers are available.

Also TBI for certain Talks softwares is available.
